First boo boo...

If you look REAL close you can see the red mark between Marysa's eyes. We went for a wagon ride this morning and she knocked her head on the side of the wagon. I felt horrible. I had no idea she had done it. I was just walking along and singing to her when she let out a wailing cry. I picked her up and saw her boo boo. I'm sure there will be worse ones than this... yes, I think I will be one of those overprotective moms after all.

I think...

I think Marysa and the cat are really starting to like one another. He is always on the floor next to her when she is playing and the other day, as you can see, he got in the bath with her. Just wait till she gets a little bigger and starts pulling his tail...bet he won't like her as much then. ha ha

Swimming!

Over the Memorial day weekend, Josh and I took Marysa swimming. She loved it. At first she looked at me like I was crazy, which is partly right, but then she started kicking her feet and splashing. Josh bought her this little pool, but he made sure he bought one big enough so I could fit in it too. Please excuse my "need to loose baby fat".

Family Fun!

What a fun week! Uncle Matthew, Aunt Sandy, Cousin Gabriella, Poppie, and GiGi all came to visit. This was their first time meeting Marysa in person, and Marysa loved them just as much as they loved her. We spent the week eating, eating, and well eating some more! Marysa even tried rice cereal for the first time...and she loved it. Poppie brought a wagon for Marysa, so we spent many evenings going for a wagon ride. Marysa can't sit on her own yet so we put her bumbo seat in the wagon and took off. She really enjoyed it! I am beginning to think she is becoming an outside girl after all. The rest of the week consisted of picture taking and just enjoying each other. Oh! And did I mention eating? Grammy fixed lots of good food. We had a wonderful week and we are sad everyone is gone. We are anxious for the next time we will see them again!

Ears...

Marysa used to try to hold her hair when she fell asleep, but I guess since she has realized her hair is not long enough to hold...she would hold her ears.

Happy Mother's Day!

What a great first mother's day! It seems so weird being a mother, but I am loving it. I have done a lot of thinking today about mother's, and how one day Marysa will be able to say "ma ma" or "momma" or whatever she will say first. I look foward to that day, but of course I don't want her to grow up too fast. Words truely can not express the love a mother has for her child. I never realized that until the minute I saw and held Marysa. I just want to end with this little quote I found..."Yes, my precious baby, you are welcome to your mother's heart, time, strength, health, tender care, and to her life long prayers!" I love you Marysa Mae Gentry!

4 months old!

Marysa is 4 months old today! I can't believe it... she is growing up so fast. She had her vaccinations yesterday so I wasn't able to get a picture of her today, but this picture is of her yesterday before we went to the Doctor. Happy 4 month old birthday Marysa!

A day in the garden...

Saturday afternoon, we spent the day planting a garden. As you can see me and Marysa worked really hard watching daddy till the ground and taking pictures for the blog. We planted squash, zuccini, okra, cucumbers, watermelon, and cantaloupe. Yum!

Once again...

Once again...I am late with my blog postings. This was actually Saturday night. We had some friends over Saturday night and their little girl Madelyn, who is 5 months older than Marysa. Her and Marysa had a lot of fun together. Here are a few pictures of their time together.

A day in the yard with daddy...

Josh took Marysa on a lawn mower ride. He's starting her early. We spent the day outside watching Josh mow the lawn, watering the flowers, and swinging. Marysa loved it, and so did we.
