HER TOES! Marysa found her big toe tonight and like everything else, she put it in her mouth! We thought this picture was hilarious...

Daddy's SPA!

Josh gets Marysa's bath ready for her on bath nights while I finish up feeding her. He has began a tradition of lots of bubbles and then he lays out all her bath toys. We call it her SPA! Can't you tell she loves it? Daddy's are so special!

I'm no sweet tater'...

Marysa tried sweet potatoes tonight for the first time. She didn't seem to care for them too much. We will try again tomorrow night though. Maybe she will begin to like them after a couple of tries. However, Josh and I can't blame her...we don't like them either!

Friends, Fun, and Swimming!

Marysa loves the pool so my friend Shaviny and her daughter Madelyn invited us to come swimming with them today. Marysa and Madelyn had lots of fun playing together! She fell asleep on the way home and slept for over 2 hours. She had a fun day with friends swimming.

Marysa's trip to Georgia and her first trip to the BEACH!

Friday, June 13, 2008

And we're off...

Tomorrow that is. Me and Marysa are going to Orange Beach with my mom, dad, aunt, uncle, two cousins, and my uncles parents. Needless to say I will have lots of help with Marysa. Maybe I will get some much needed rest and relaxation! Especially some much needed relaxation with Marysa at the beach... nothing seems better than relaxing with your baby on the beach. And I'm more than excited about all the pictures I will be able to share with ya'll. Josh can't go because of work, but he's more than okay with me and Marysa going to enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle of this little thing we all call life! So...please pray for a safe trip for us. Me and Marysa are flying to Atlanta tomorrow morning. This will be her second plane ride, yet I think I am more nervous than the first time. Then on Sunday morning we are driving to the beach. I am taking this time off from blogging...SO...I will see you all when we get back and will have lots to tell, post, and will definately have lots of pictures!

Rockin' and Rollin'

Marysa really has the rolling over thing down pat. We left the room for not even a minute and she had made her way from her activity gym to the other end of the living room against the couch. She was just laughing and giggling! However, when Josh snapped the picture she got real serious...

Boo Boo #2!

Ok so you know how in the last blog I said "much worse things could happen"...well they did this morning! I was on my way to take Marysa to her Grammy's house so I could go to work, and I realized I left my cell phone at home. I slowed down to turn around on this road, and when I turned I heard something fall. I look in the back seat and Marysa was upside down in her carseat...base of the carseat and all! I jumped out of the car and grabbed her out. I managed to walk all the way back to our house to get Josh and he got the car and fixed the car seat. Someway...somehow...the base had got unhooked! So this is the "much worse things" and "boo boo #2). Marysa is fine. She didn't even cry, but I did! I felt so sorry for her...

Go figure...

So... Josh surprised me after church and we took Marysa to his moms house and we went to a movie and out to eat. It was so nice and relaxing. I felt empty without the usual diaper bag, stroller, and of course...my baby. We had a great time though, and thank you Brenda for keeping Marysa. However, we get back to the car (which was parked underground in the parking deck) and the car won't start. We called a tow truck and have the car towed all the way back to Athens from Huntsville, where the car decides it is going to start again! We still left the car to be looked at and fixed, if necessary. Go figure...a day out and it ends in disaster. I know there are much worse things though!
