My cousin Ashlyn came to visit...Marysa loves her! They had so much fun playing. Ashlyn had her own real live baby doll.

The results...

These are the pictures we had made on the day that the bird pooped on Josh. I think they turned out great given the circumstances. Don't you think? Marysa did really well. She was a little fussy at first and I didn't think we would get very many pictures, but then she fell asleep and the photographer did great at taking pictures of her sleeping (there are many more and some very cute ones of her feet). When Marysa woke up she was very happy and ready to smile, as you can see in the later pictures. All in all the day turned out great!

Family pictures...

This actually happened yesterday, but picture this. Josh, Marysa, and me are all ready for pictures. We load the car and head to town. We were having our picture made in front of the Houston Library downtown (the one with all the beautiful Magnolia trees in front). We arrive and Josh begins to get our stuff out of the car. I go ahead and take Marysa up to the photographer. Josh follows behind us with the things from the car. Next thing I know Josh stops dead in his tracks. I look back and he says "I think a bird just pooped all over me". I looked at him and said "yes it did" (then I burst out laughing). A bird pooped all over his head, face, and most importantly his clothes. Thank goodness we had an extra shirt! I was SURE we would have to change the baby due to spit up or poop, but she did great. It was Josh we had to worry about! Sorry that I do not have a picture to post for this blog, but we were all laughing so hard no one thought to snap a picture!

Future turkey hunter...

Josh calls Marysa his "future turkey hunter". Sad, but true, when he puts turkey hunting on the TV she actually watches it. She already has an outfit that says "future turkey hunter", a camoflauge outfit (it does have ruffles and bows), a camoflauge hair bow, and her own turkey call (her granddaddy made it for her). Josh wanted me to snap this picture before he left yesterday morning to go to Georgia turkey hunting. Can you tell he is proud of his little girl?

Our daughters new found talent...

Marysa has a new talent...it's called sleeping! For the past couple of weeks she has been sleeping ALL night. I will put her down between 7 pm and 8 pm and she won't wake up until atleast 6 am. This morning she slept until 7 am. I would have posted this sooner, but I wanted to make sure her new sleeping pattern was going to stay. The picture of her is her napping in her swing (which she slept in for about 2 hours after sleeping all night). I didn't want to snap a picture of her at night while she was sleeping in fear that she would wake up!

Outside

We took Marysa outside today and put her in her bumbo seat. She is doing really good sitting up in the bumbo seat and holding her head up. We are really proud of her. She really enjoyed being outside. The first picture of her is in her bumbo seat. The second picture I just had to post because she looks just like her daddy in it. AND...the third picture we just had to take and post-it's Laura Ingles on her horse! ha ha Wow two post in one day...I'm getting good at this.

Little House on the Prairie...

Yesterday was Marysa's first day at Grandmother's house while I went to work. I've gone back to work part time now. I am working on Mondays (all day), Wednesdays (half day), and Thursdays (all day). Anyway, I returned to pick her up after work to find her and Brenda on the back porch. Needless to say (as you can see from the picture) Marysa was sound asleep with her new "sun hat" on. I call it her Laura Ingles hat from Little House on the Prairie. She continued to sleep as we put her in her car seat and I made my way back home, where Josh snapped another picture of her. With the 'Got Milk?' and this we've got a real actress on our hands, wouldn't you say? Oh...I guess I should tell you the hat was made by Brenda's neighbor Miss Irene. Thank you Miss Irene! We love it...
