Rockin' and Rollin'

Marysa really has the rolling over thing down pat. We left the room for not even a minute and she had made her way from her activity gym to the other end of the living room against the couch. She was just laughing and giggling! However, when Josh snapped the picture she got real serious...

Boo Boo #2!

Ok so you know how in the last blog I said "much worse things could happen"...well they did this morning! I was on my way to take Marysa to her Grammy's house so I could go to work, and I realized I left my cell phone at home. I slowed down to turn around on this road, and when I turned I heard something fall. I look in the back seat and Marysa was upside down in her carseat...base of the carseat and all! I jumped out of the car and grabbed her out. I managed to walk all the way back to our house to get Josh and he got the car and fixed the car seat. Someway...somehow...the base had got unhooked! So this is the "much worse things" and "boo boo #2). Marysa is fine. She didn't even cry, but I did! I felt so sorry for her...

Go figure...

So... Josh surprised me after church and we took Marysa to his moms house and we went to a movie and out to eat. It was so nice and relaxing. I felt empty without the usual diaper bag, stroller, and of course...my baby. We had a great time though, and thank you Brenda for keeping Marysa. However, we get back to the car (which was parked underground in the parking deck) and the car won't start. We called a tow truck and have the car towed all the way back to Athens from Huntsville, where the car decides it is going to start again! We still left the car to be looked at and fixed, if necessary. Go figure...a day out and it ends in disaster. I know there are much worse things though!

First boo boo...

If you look REAL close you can see the red mark between Marysa's eyes. We went for a wagon ride this morning and she knocked her head on the side of the wagon. I felt horrible. I had no idea she had done it. I was just walking along and singing to her when she let out a wailing cry. I picked her up and saw her boo boo. I'm sure there will be worse ones than this... yes, I think I will be one of those overprotective moms after all.

I think...

I think Marysa and the cat are really starting to like one another. He is always on the floor next to her when she is playing and the other day, as you can see, he got in the bath with her. Just wait till she gets a little bigger and starts pulling his tail...bet he won't like her as much then. ha ha

Swimming!

Over the Memorial day weekend, Josh and I took Marysa swimming. She loved it. At first she looked at me like I was crazy, which is partly right, but then she started kicking her feet and splashing. Josh bought her this little pool, but he made sure he bought one big enough so I could fit in it too. Please excuse my "need to loose baby fat".
